THE café team at Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre in Craven Arms have recently launched their new menu, celebrating all things local.

Joining the popular favourites on the menu is the Shropshire Lamb Burger as well as a Tusker’s Tots Menu for children and extended availability times.

The centre, which has been run by local charity Grow Cook Learn for the last four years, is committed to connecting people to the food, history and landscape of the Shropshire Hills.

Their focus is on keeping their food relevant to the iconic Shropshire Hills area using local bakeries, butchers and suppliers.

“The new menu has been very popular over the Summer Holidays,” said Asia Nicholson, Catering Manager at the Centre.

“We are passionate about celebrating the Shropshire Hills in our food and the feedback from our visitors has been excellent. We know where all our meat comes from and we only use MSC certified fish.

“The local element of our food has been a motivation of ours for years and this new menu helps to take this forward even further, communicating our message to everyone that eats with us.”

Regular cookery workshops are held at the Discovery Centre, to help people make the best of local produce.
