THERE have been some strange goings on at Pershore College recently - a giant rabbit, donkeys, someone dressed as a beekeeper, an arboriculturalist and a young man struggling with an over-large potted tree.

They are all part of a campaign to celebrate the launch of a new bus route to the college which will serve all the surrounding villages.

The bus starts this September in time for the new term.

Richard Grindey, head of animal welfare at Pershore College, said: “We know that our animal courses offer some of the best facilities and breadth of experience in the region - much better than others in Worcestershire, and our agri-tech and horticulture offer is similarly high quality.

"So we wanted to make it as easy as possible for students to get here so that they can share in the excitement of our courses and the careers that they lead to.

"Everyone in the photograph represents something that happens here at Pershore."

Bus number 4 will leave Aston Cross at 8.20am and call at Kinsham, Bredon Royal Oak, Eckington Memorial, Great Comberton, Little Comberton phone box, Wick phone box and arrive at Pershore College at 9.05am.

The return journey will leave at 16.50 and reach Aston Cross by 17.35.
