A CHARITY has provided 180 local children in need with a sack of toys.
Community Awareness, delivered presents to children in the North Cotswolds, including stationery, books and games.
The sacks are delivered by agencies to the families, together with gift wrap, so the parents can provide their children with surprise parcels on Christmas Day.
Eighty families will also receive bags of fresh fruit, vegetables, groceries including chocolates, biscuits and mince pies, together with fresh meat donated by Todenham Manor Farm.
Warner’s Budgens contribute towards the cost of the groceries as well as providing help with packing the food bags.
Rotary Club of North Cotswolds support the Community Awareness charity each year with a donation from the funds they raise.
Rotarian president, Peter Boxall together with his partner, Irene Summers and fellow Rotarian Ed Alexander, visited Evenlode Village Hall to watch the CA committee in action filling bags in readiness for delivery.
Mr Boxall said: “Rotary is delighted to support such a worthwhile cause; reaching out to help the most disadvantaged in our own community by enabling them to enjoy what many of us take for granted.”
