WORKMEN set to work felling an avenue of trees in Broad Street, Pershore, today.
The decision to remove the London plane trees in the attractive Georgian street has been controversial.
Wychavon District Counci says the trees roots were posing a danger to pedestrians.
They are being replaced with crab apple trees.
