Bookmakers have shifted their predictions for the 2021 winner of Strictly as stars Ugo and Oti exit the ballroom on Sunday night.

Last week, Ugo and Oti missed out on competing due to Ugo's back injury but sadly the pair couldn't bring it back on Saturday night.

Following their exit, Betfair has unveiled its pick for the celebrity most likely to pick up the 2021 glitterball trophy.

Fans will not be surprised that Eastenders actress Rose Ayling-Ellis has been pegged as this season's winner for the second week running.

Betfair spokesperson Sam Rosbottom said: "After another fantastic performance on the Strictly dance floor, Rose Ayling-Ellis is now the clearest sole favourite yet to win the coveted Glitterball trophy, finding herself odds-on at 1/2 for the first time and leaving the chasing pack trailing in her wake.

"This is despite Rose not even topping the leaderboard in week five - the fact that John and Johannes scored highest but are a distant 9/2 second favourite in the betting suggests that punters have taken the Eastenders star to their hearts and see no other winner at this stage in the competition.

"But this is Strictly, and anything can change, so we will watch with baited breath whether Rose can maintain her runaway status as Strictly heats up at the halfway stage."

Rose and Giovanni's emotional Viennese Waltz charmed the judges on Saturday, earning them a staggering 37 points.

Strictly Week 5 leaderboard

  1. John and Johannes - 38
  2. Rose and Giovanni - 37
  3. Tilly and Nikita - 36
  4. AJ and Kai - 35
  5. Tom and Amy - 34
  6. Rhys and Nancy - 32
  7. Adam and Katya - 29
  8. Dan and Nadiya - 28
  9. Sara and Alijaž - 25
  10. Ugo and Oti - 20

Who will win Strictly 2021?

Despite John and Johannes topping the leaderboard and scoring two tens this weekend, Rose and Giovanni are still leading in the bookmakers' eyes.

The pair are leading the Stricly cast with 1/2 odds with John and Johannes following close behind on 9/2.

On the flip side, Loose Woman star Judi Love is at the bottom of the list at 100/1 considering she has been in the dance-off twice and missed this week's show due to testing positive for Covid-19.

  • Rose Ayling-Ellis 1/2
  • John Whaite 9/2
  • AJ Odudu 7/1
  • Tilly Ramsay 18/1
  • Tom Fletcher 18/1
  • Adam Peaty 25/1
  • Sara Davies 33/1
  • Rhys Stephenson 40/1
  • Dan Walker 50/1
  • Judi Love 100/1
