Shipston anglers got off to a stellar start in the first round of the Open Winter League.
Sunday's angling on the River Stour saw close competition among five teams.
The drop in temperature affected the weights, but participants enjoyed being back on the river after recent rain.
Nigel Davis from the Shipston Superteam won at Monk's Barn Farm with seven pounds, 12 ounces, while Andy Bruce from ADDAC came second with seven pounds.
Paul Lambert from LAMB DONNAS took first at Clifford Chambers with four pounds, 11 ounces, and Stuart Fleming from Shipston Superteam was second with three pounds, eight ounces.
Tony Avery from ADDAC won at Shipston with 10 pound, and James Yates from LAMB DONNAS was second with five pounds, eight ounces.
After the first round, ADDAC and Shipston Superteam top the league with 14 points each, a point ahead of Lamb Donnas.
Shipston Gold is behind on 10 points, as is Shipston GKW on nine points.
The next round will be in two weeks.
