BROADWAY was heaving on Boxing Day when hundreds of people descended on the village to see the horses and hounds of the North Cotswold Hunt.
Up to 70 mounted horses met at The Kennels in Broad Close for the traditional meet – the first on horseback since 2008 – after the last two years were called off due to snowy weather.
Hunt secretary Nancy Blinkhorn said it was the best turnout they had ever had.
The hunt’s next big meet is on New Year’s Day at the Lygon Arms, Chipping Campden, where donations will be presented to the Air Ambulance and the Campden Home Nurses.
