At a time when many independent schools face difficulties because of the recession, Bredon School’s acquisition by a major education group provides it with a secure future. The co-educational seven to 18 school between Tewkesbury and Upton-upon-Severn has secured major investment from Spanish-British education group Colegios Laude.
The group educates more than 5,500 children in its 10 schools in Spain, five of which follow a British curriculum.
Principal David Keyte said: “I am delighted with the agreement. Colegios Laude is run by respected educationalists with decades of experience.”
Visitors to Bredon’s open morning from 10am-noon on Saturday, May 16, will hear more about the school’s winning formula, which recently saw it gain three Good Schools Guide awards for GCSE success. Bredon School has a long established reputation for nurturing children’s talents, whether these are academic, artistic, sporting or vocational. It also has special expertise in helping children with specific learning difficulties, such as dyslexia.
