DESPITE monsoon weather conditions, and many members away on holiday or unwell, it was still a great treat to hear our speaker, Stan Brotherton, share with us how he came to compile his photographic record of "Evesham through Time". Many members who have lived in Evesham all their lives enjoyed remembering how the town once looked, while those of us who are comparative newcomers found the rapid development of the town most interesting.

We have many other exciting events coming up, including a trip to see behind the scenes at the RSC in Stratford, and our October speaker, Joe Tierney, from the National Trust, who will tell us all about the history of Croome Park, and its links to the WI. We meet at 7.45pm on the second Tuesday of each month at the Bengeworth Church House, Broadway Road, and visitors are always welcome. For further details, call Carla on 442475.
