MEMBERS of Musyck Anon are celebrating two successful events that raised money for different charities.

On July 15 we held a concert at St. Lawrence's Church, Evesham. A retiring collection raised £136 for the Churches Conservation Trust which looks after St Lawrence's. Thank you to everyone who came along and gave so generously and to Patrick Joel from the trust, and Jim Jarvis and the other volunteers who made it all possible.

Twenty-five years, choir member Tony Caldwell suggested that Musyck Anon spend a day busking in Stratford to raise money for what was then Leukaemia research, now renamed Bloodwise. Busking became an annual event and just one of the many activities organized by Tony who has since been awarded an M.B.E. for his services to charity. This year we sang in Centenary gardens and raised £250 thanks to the generosity of both locals and visitors from all over the world.

There is still a chance to hear the choir this summer. We will be singing in a concert starting at 7.30pm on Saturday, August 5 at the Almonry Museum in Evesham. Tickets cost £5 and are available from the Almonry or call 01386 446944.
