LAST week the club went to Dorset to visit Monkey World. The centre takes in injured and abandoned primates, and with loving care nurses them back to health, and in many cases returns them back to the wild. They have recently taken in a baby Orang-Utan from Moscow Zoo, which had been rejected by its mother. It has been introduced to an older female which has bonded with the baby and is now doing well. The park covers a large area, and is home to many different types of primates. Aswell as the amusing antics of the apes , the keepers gave interesting talks on them.

Next year the club is planning two holidays, one to Exmouth on May 17, the other on September 17 to Yarmouth. Anyone interested joining us on these holidays please contact Sheila on 01608 652186.
