A HOUSING developer has upset parish councillors in Bourton over a lack of notice about an exhibition to showcase its plans.

Developers Pegasus Planning and Blue Cedar Homes want to build 20 retirement homes and 40 houses on the site on the corner of Station Road and the Fosse Way.

Their proposals were unveiled at the Victoria Hall on November 28 and December 1 but the parish council was notified about the exhibition just six days before.

Parish council clerk Sue Cretney said it would normally expect to be given a least a month’s notice so the council had enough time to publicise the event in its magazine.

She said: “We missed the deadline for the next edition of the magazine. We asked them to arrange another public consultation in January so we could advertise in the next edition.

They said they would extend the deadline of the consultation to January 16.”

A spokeswoman from Pegasus said: “On November 21 we delivered 180 leaflets to those properties in the immediate area around the site. No application has been submitted to Cotswold District Council.”
