SUCCESSFUL students at Shipston High School were recognised for their achievements at an awards evening last week.
Media executive Andrew Knight was the Guest of Honour at the event on Wednesday, November 2 when he presented over a hundred awards to students and last year’s leavers.
The Awards Evening was attended by special guests including the Leader of Stratford District Council, the Mayor of Shipston and representatives of local organisations.
Students enjoyed a speech from Mr Knight who was former editor of the Economist as well as the Chief Executive and Editor in Chief of the Daily Telegraph Group.
Headteacher Jonathan Baker said: ‘It was a truly marvellous occasion and Andrew Knight was an excellent choice to be our Guest of Honour.
“He gave a very personal touch to the presentations by speaking to every award winner and making each one feel very special.
“His address was very pertinent and, I am sure, it will spur many of our students on to achieving even greater successes in the future.”
