RESIDENTS of a street in Bourton are to receive a letter from police following a burglary some time in the last two weeks.

Burglars ransacked an unoccupied bungalow in Springfield, Bourton, after removing a downstairs window.

They had previously tried to open the back doors at the rear of the detached bungalow before stripping beading from two windows then removing the glass from one. They made an “untidy search” of the property, strewing the contents of jewellery boxes across the floor.

Householders in neighbouring properties are being sent a letter by local police this week asking if they have information which could help the investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police on 0845 0901234 quoting incident number 269 of November 29.
