NEW Moreton homes will feature in a property exhibition in South East Asia as part of a major drive to attract expatriates to buy properties in the West Midlands.

CALA Homes will showcase its luxury Coachman’s Court apartment development, in Moreton’s Station Road, in a permanent exhibition at the Kuala Lumper Retail Property Centre in Malaysia.

The Birmingham-based home building company has joined forces with international property consultancy, propertrack.com, to stage the exhibition.

CALA said it is doing this because the United Kingdom’s falling house prices offer prospective buyers greater value, especially with new-build homes, thus generating a growing number of enquiries from ex-pats and international investors interested in buying a second home or investment property in the UK.

Steve Rush, CALA’s Midlands area sales and marketing director, believes this marketing initiative will fuel interest from international buyers.

He said: “We now live in a truly global property buying and investing community.

“With low cost international travel, property investment has no barriers and this is an ideal time to build our reputation across a global audience, particularly across Asia.

“This represents an excellent opportunity to showcase CALA’s prime developments to a key market.

“In these challenging times, it is becoming increasingly important to target potential buyers outside the usual channels, although we continue to sell well to buyers from the West Midlands.”

More than 80 per cent of Coachman’s Court’s 41 one-and-two-bedroom apartments have already been sold, with prices for the remaining two starting from £199,950.
