All vehicles stopped in Chipping Norton were found to be compliant and in order, except for one car which was being driven without valid insurance and was subsequently seized.
A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said: "West Oxfordshire Neighbourhood Team officers joined colleagues from West Oxfordshire District Council today for a joint operation in Chipping Norton, focusing on waste carrier compliance and tackling fly-tipping.
"We are pleased to report that all vehicles stopped and checked during the operation were found to be compliant and in order.

"Although no offences relating to waste carriage were identified, fly-tipping remains a priority for the Neighbourhood Policing Team, particularly in our rural communities across West Oxfordshire where incidents can have a significant impact on residents, farmers, landowners and the local environment. We will continue to work with our partners to prevent, deter and investigate offences wherever they occur.
"During the operation, officers also identified a vehicle being driven without valid insurance. The vehicle was subsequently seized.
"If you have information about fly-tipping or other anti-social or criminal activity in your area, please report it via our website or by calling 101. In an emergency, always call 999."
