A member of the royal family is set to join the cast of a reality TV show with Queen Camilla likely to attend, according to a former royal butler in the Cotswolds.
Mike Tindall could be set to take on another reality TV show sooner than we think, according to Grant Harrold, who worked as King Charles and Queen Camilla’s Highgrove butler between 2004 and 2011.
Speaking to OLBG, Mr Howard revealed he could see the former England rugby star swapping the jungle for the ballroom or kitchen, with Strictly Come Dancing and Celebrity Great British Bake Off both possible options.
Mr Tindall, who finished fourth on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! in 2022, won over viewers during his time in the jungle, offering a rare glimpse into life as a member of the extended Royal Family, which Grant believes was the reason he made it so far.
And if the royal were to take to the Strictly dancefloor, Mr Howard believes he could expect some royal support from his mother-in-law, Queen Camilla.
He said: "I really could see him doing Strictly Come Dancing; I wouldn't rule that out.
"I think the reason he hasn’t done it yet is that it’s too soon after I’m A Celebrity. I think they’re going to give it some time, but I absolutely would not rule it out in the future.
"I can also see him doing the celebrity version of The Great British Bake Off. That’s quite classy, and you’re raising money for charity.
"I wouldn’t see him do something like Big Brother. I think that’s just too much and it would be a step too far."
When asked if Queen Camilla would enjoy Mr Tindall doing Strictly, Mr Howard replied: "Oh yes, she'd be there supporting him.
"I guarantee she'd be in the audience, not every week, but she would absolutely be there 100 per cent. It would be fun to watch."
Asked why Mr Tindall did well on I'm a Celeb, the former royal butler said: "Quite simply, it's the closest you will get to a member of the Royal Family being in that show.
"Who’s not going to watch that? You’ve got the late Queen’s granddaughter’s husband on one of the top reality TV programmes in the UK.
"He didn’t let anyone down. He did talk about the royals, but he was very careful. The palace was obviously happy about the great PR, and people loved seeing him."
Speaking on The Celebrity Traitors as an option, Mr Howard added: "The only thing is that Celebrity Traitors is a show that is all about lying. At the moment, that’s a bit of a problem.
"So, give it a few years and then maybe Mike may go on the show. I love the show, and I think it’s brilliant.
"But it’s about deceiving, and even if Mike wanted to do it, they might say, ‘I’d hold off on that'."
