A PRIMARY school has been awarded top marks in its latest Ofsted inspection.
Rodmarton Primary School received three 'Strong Standard' ratings under Ofsted's new multi-grade reporting system following a visit on June 3.
The highest ratings were given for Early Years, Inclusion, and Personal Development and Wellbeing.
Matthew Smith, headteacher at Rodmarton Primary School, said: "We are enormously proud of this report and the three Strong Standard judgements.
"They reflect what lies at the heart of Rodmarton: knowing every child as an individual, providing an ambitious education and supporting pupils to flourish academically, socially and emotionally.
"This achievement belongs to our whole school community.
"Our pupils were wonderful ambassadors, and we are grateful to our dedicated staff, governors, families and wider community for everything they contribute.
"We look forward to building on this success and continuing to provide every child with the very best possible start."
The new Ofsted reporting system, introduced in November, replaces single-word ratings with more detailed categories.
The 'Strong Standard' rating indicates examples of excellent practice that are making a significant impact on pupils’ lives.
Inspectors described the Early Years provision as a ‘wonderful start to their schooling’, praising the nurturing environment, thoughtful curriculum and high-quality interactions between adults and children.
Reading was highlighted as being ‘at the heart of the curriculum’, with children achieving very well and fully prepared for Year 1.
The school's inclusive approach also earned high praise.
Ofsted inspectors said: "Leaders have created a highly inclusive culture at Rodmarton that ensures that all pupils feel a sense of belonging and achievement."
Teaching was found to be carefully adapted so that every pupil can access the full curriculum and make strong progress from their starting points.
Personal Development and Wellbeing was also rated 'Strong Standard', with inspectors noting the school’s wide range of activities and strong pastoral support.
The report highlighted the school’s ambitious curriculum, strong teaching and positive behaviour.
Ofsted also commended the supportive community atmosphere between pupils, staff and parents, describing Rodmarton as a 'happy community.'
The school welcomed Ofsted’s recognition of its strengths in safety, inclusion, pastoral care and high-quality education.
