A stunning collection of wildlife images has been revealed as Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust celebrates the winners of its annual photography competition.
GWT's 17th annual competition attracted more than 500 entries from nature enthusiasts across the county in the Trust's biggest contest yet.
The competition, held from April to July, celebrates both the region’s wildlife and the creative talent of photographers of all ages and abilities.
Cerys Baker, communications coordinator at GWT and organiser of the competition, said: "We're thrilled by the response to this year's competition.
"The standard of photography was exceptional, from stunning landscapes and close-up wildlife encounters to creative images captured on mobile phones.
"We'd like to thank everyone who entered and congratulate all of our winners, finalists, and category champions."
Launched in 2010, the competition provides a platform for nature photography through exhibitions, calendars, social media, and the Trust’s publications.
This year’s finalists were showcased in a public exhibition at Robinswood Hill during August.
The 2026 competition featured four categories: Urban Wildlife, Wild Places, Species Spotlight, and Wild Youth, which is open to photographers under 18.
A People’s Choice Award was also presented, with visitors to the exhibition and website invited to vote for their favourite image.
More than 700 votes were cast, with Meeting Spot by Jenny Fletcher named the public’s favourite.
The overall camera winner was Una Mattina by Giorgio Frattolillo, who also won the Camera Wild Places category.
The overall mobile winner was Meeting Spot by Jenny Fletcher, which also won the People’s Choice Award and the Mobile Species Spotlight category.
Other winners included Poised Acrobat by Arthur (Camera Wild Youth), Porcelain Fungi by Rodney Lamb (Camera Species Spotlight), and Gotherington Gaze by Paul Griffiths (Camera Urban Wildlife).
In the mobile categories, Midsummer by Ophelia won Wild Youth, Toad Patrol by Michelle Allen won Urban Wildlife, and At Peace by Corina Gardiner won Wild Places.
