A much-loved roller disco venue in the Cotswolds is set to close its doors.
RollerXpress, Gloucestershire’s only dedicated roller disco located in Gloucester Quays, will close this July.
The venue first opened in 2023, offering a safe and inclusive space for skaters of all ages and abilities.
In a statement on its website, RollerXpress said: "Running an independent business comes with its hurdles.
"Between the rising costs of operation and the ongoing battle to secure suitable funding, it hasn't been an easy track.
"Before we lace up for the last time, we want to say a massive thank you to everyone who made this journey possible.
"Our hearts are so full as we thank our amazing staff (past and present): You are the absolute dream team.
"Thank you for your hard work, your endless energy, and for making RollerXpress such a fun, welcoming place for everyone.
"We couldn't have done it without you.
"Our incredible skaters and supporters: You brought the energy, the smiles, and the community spirit every single week.
"You are the heartbeat of RollerXpress.
"Gloucester Quays: For providing us with such a fantastic venue and being incredible partners.
"Gloucester City Council: For their invaluable backing and help in bringing this vision to life.

The team behind RollerXpress is now searching for a new venue and is asking the public to get in touch if they know of any empty warehouse or commercial space that could house the roller rink.
While the search for a new venue continues, RollerXpress says that it won't be "rolling out quietly", inviting skating fans to join it for one last victory lap on Sunday 26 July 2026, with tickets costing £10.
