A veterinary practice has been awarded the highest level of accreditation from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
Dragon Vets in Cheltenham, based in Prestbury Park, has achieved RCVS Hospital status, becoming the only practice in the town to hold the distinction.
The award follows a recent 900 sq ft extension that doubled the hospital’s consulting capacity and expanded its facilities.

RCVS Hospital status is awarded to practices that demonstrate excellence in clinical care and patient safety.
It requires advanced facilities and equipment, 24-hour on-site care for hospitalised animals.
It also reflects the team’s focus on staff wellbeing and environmental sustainability.
The award recognises Dragon Vets’ ability to manage complex medical and surgical cases, as well as its ongoing professional development programmes for the team.
