English Wine Week is returning once again to put homegrown vintages in the spotlight.

Running from June 20, the celebration will see vineyards across the country take part, including Woodchester Valley Vineyard in the Cotswolds.

The family-owned estate will offer tours, tastings, and special events to showcase its award-winning wines.

Woodchester Valley Vineyard is the largest in the Cotswolds, spanning 56 acres.

All wines are produced at its on-site winery, and the business encourages visitors to explore Gloucestershire’s winemaking heritage.

A variety of grape types are grown on site, including Bacchus, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Meunier, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Regent, Seyval, Siegerrebe, Solaris, Sauvignon Blanc, and Ortega.

Visitors can enjoy classic tours and tastings or opt for a ‘Premium’ experience, which features more wines and a focus on food pairings.

Lunch hampers with locally sourced produce can be added to selected experiences.

On selected Fridays, the vineyard hosts ‘Fizz n’ Chips’—an evening pairing sparkling wine with fish and chips.

This year marks a special milestone for the vineyard as it celebrates 10 years since the winery was established and became single estate.

To mark the anniversary, a limited-edition Bacchus Reserve wine will be released during English Wine Week.

The new wine is made from some of the vineyard’s oldest vines.

During the week, two evening events will also take place: a sparkling wine and oysters pairing with Oyster Buoys on June 22, and a wine and pizza night on June 28.

The vineyard was established in 2007 by Fiona and Niall Shiner.

What began as an experimental planting has grown into a thriving estate with vineyards in Woodchester, Stonehouse, and Amberley.

A dedicated winery was introduced ahead of the 2016 harvest, allowing production to take place fully on site.
