Cotswolds festival named UK's best event this summer

Wilderness Festival, hosted at Cornbury Park near Charlbury, was ranked the best outdoor and adventure-led festival in a study by GO Outdoors, scoring 9.47 out of 10.

The research considered factors such as price, popularity, and duration.

Known for its mix of music, wellbeing activities, and high-end food, the festival, which runs from July 30 to August 2, saw strong demand, leading the search rankings with 248,200 annual Google searches.

This figure reportedly places the festival well ahead of its competition, emphasising its wide-reaching appeal.

First held in 2011, Wilderness has become a key part of the UK summer festival circuit, attracting thousands of music lovers.

This year, festival-goers can expect performances from the Scissor Sisters, The Last Dinner Party, and Carl Cox.

The event also offers yoga and meditation sessions and comedy shows, in addition to live music.

Described as a 'boutique festival,' Wilderness has carved out a unique space for itself over the past decade and a half, with its blend of big-name headliners and diverse activities.

It runs for four days, provides camping facilities, and is indicated as suitable for families, enhancing its appeal to a broad audience.
