The first images of a new stage adaptation of a much-loved British sitcom have been released.

Men Behaving Badly: The Play is debuting at the Barn Theatre in Cirencester, with performances running from January 30 to Saturday, March 7.

The new stage comedy picks up where the cult classic TV show left off, reuniting audiences with Gary, Dorothy, Deborah, and Tony as they face the dawn of the millennium on December 31, 1999.

Gary’s clinging to his youth, Dorothy’s had enough, Deborah’s got a plan, and Tony’s…still Tony.

The world is bracing for Y2K as the foursome prepare for their own Big Day, but when resolutions clash with revelations, the gang might just prove that the real millennium bug… is them.

Audiences can expect 'pints, fireworks, and a complete lack of adult supervision'.

The stage comedy was created by writer Simon Nye, based on the hit TV show which was described by The Telegraph as “one of the most successful British comedies of all time".

The cast features Ross Carswell as Gary, Matt Howdon as Tony, Ellie Nunn as Dorothy, and Tricia Adele-Turner as Deborah. Neil Jennings plays Ken, with Valerie Antwi taking on the role of Eve.

Iwan Lewis, CEO and artistic director of the Barn Theatre, and executive director and producer Liam McMullan, said: "We’re thrilled to announce the brilliant cast of Simon Nye’s new play Men Behaving Badly.

"Each actor perfectly brings to life the humour, chaos and charm of Nye’s iconic characters we all know and love.

"We’re especially delighted to welcome some familiar faces back to the Barn.

"It’s going to be a joyous celebration of comedy audiences won’t want to miss."

The creative team includes director Joseph O’Malley, set and costume designer Alfie Heywood, associate costume designer Denise Cleal, lighting designer Adam Foley, sound designer and composer Amanda Priestley, casting director Marc Frankum, and dialect coach Zoe Littleton.

The Barn Theatre is an award-winning producing house in the heart of the Cotswolds, on a mission to inspire communities and champion the power of storytelling.
