Radioactive gas found at an Oxfordshire filming location for BBC's Wolf Hall is back at a "normal and safe level".
Last December, the National Trust applied for planning permission to remove dangerous radon gas from a Jacobean manor house used as a filming location for epic drama Wolf Hall.
Chastleton House, near Chipping Norton, stood in for the Seymour family seat, Wolf Hall, where Henry first falls for Jane Seymour in the hit BBC show.
The house was built by a rich wool merchant and owned by the same family for nearly 400 years, but in the early days of the 17th century, the family lost their wealth and could not update the house, which remained a ‘well-preserved Jacobean time capsule’.

The National Trust, which acquired Chastleton in 1991, applied to West Oxfordshire District Council last year for planning permission to remove radon gas from one of the buildings.
The application said that following an inspection, it was found that Ostlers Cottage "has above the recommended maximum level" of radon outlined by the World Health Organisation.
Radon is a natural radioactive gas which is believed to be linked to lung cancer.
The National Trust has now confirmed that the levels are back to a "safe and normal" limit in a new statement today (Wednesday, December 31).

A spokesperson for the organisation said: “We take the safety of all our tenants, including staff, very seriously.
"We have completed remedial works to the staff accommodation in the Stableyard at Chastleton, and levels of radon gas are back within safe and normal limits.
"We’re continuing to test to ensure that they stay that way.”
West Oxfordshire District Council has been approached for comment.
