A Gloucestershire canine massage therapist will feature on television alongside Ted, the beloved star of Gone Fishing.
Ruth McDonagh, from Winchcombe, joined Paul Whitehouse and Bob Mortimer's award-winning BBC show in Herefordshire over the summer.
She will appear next to Ted, known for his cheeky personality and famous underbite, in the fourth episode of the new series.
The episode will air on BBC2 this Sunday, November 16, at 9 pm.
Ms McDonagh said: "It was a fantastic experience to meet Ted, Paul, Bob, and the production crew.
"I’ve been a huge fan of both Paul and Bob since the days of The Fast Show and Shooting Stars back in the 1990s.
"In fact, it was 'reely' quite special, a great opportunity, and I thoroughly enjoyed myself.
"Ted is, of course, a national canine treasure in his own right, so it was an absolute joy to meet him.
"I can say with paw on heart that he’s just the same off-screen as he is on, which isn’t always the case with celebrities.
"I won’t reveal what happened when I met Ted, so make sure you watch on Sunday evening to find out!"
Ms McDonagh, who works at A Calmer Canine, is a specialist in fascia release therapy.
This technique helps alleviate tension and pain in the connective tissue of dogs.
Her skill set is particularly beneficial for dogs with arthritis, joint issues, or those recovering from surgery or injury.
Additionally, she extends her expertise to help anxious and reactive dogs, working to release nervous tension and encourage relaxation.
Patterdale terrier Ted, who is owned by the show's producer, Lisa Clark, was once a skinny, unwanted pup who was dumped outside an animal shelter, before he found fame and fortune on the TV show.
Promoting the eighth series, which is on BBC iPlayer and BBC Two now, he was asked to share his highlight of the series.
Ted said: "Easy - I got a wonderful [canine] massage when we were in Herefordshire. And boy was it good. This lovely lady called Ruth visited us in our accommodation and reached parts of me I didn’t even know could be reached.
"It was magic!"
