A man has appeared in court charged with attempted murder after a woman was stabbed in a rural village.
Jonathan Creak, 50, of Westland Way, Woodstock, in West Oxfordshire, has also been charged with possession of a knife.
Paramedics called police after the victim, who was in her 40s, was found with knife wounds on Mill Lane, Hardwick, Norfolk, at 8.11am on Saturday, July 6.
She was taken by ambulance to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital with serious injuries.
Road closures were put in place and a police cordon at the scene while investigations were carried out.

Officers said they believed those involved were known to each other.
Police arrested a man in Cambridgeshire and he was taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
Creak appeared at Norwich Magistrates’ Court on Monday July 8 2024 and was remanded in custody to appear at Norwich Crown Court on 5 August 2024.
