ISAAC Buckley-Ricketts has capped a wonderful season for Warrington Town by being named in the National League North Team of the Season.

The Yellows forward’s selection comes after a superb campaign individually and collectively as both he and Town took to their new level like a duck to water.

Having scored the dramatic play-off final winner to win them promotion in May of last year, the 26-year-old former Manchester City youngster scored 15 league goals to help his side to a top-half finish as they ended the season 12th in the table.

Buckley-Ricketts is one of only two players from teams finishing outside the play-off places to be named in the team with the other being South Shields striker Paul Blackett, who finished as the league’s top scorer with 29 goals.

Champions Tamworth and second-place finishers Scunthorpe United have three selections each, with Chorley getting two and Brackley Town one.

The season officially came to an end on Saturday with the National League North play-off final, with Boston United beating Brackley Town 2-1 to join Tamworth in the National League next season.
