Cotswold Wildlife Park has been named the UK's best zoo for 2024.

Experts at Outdoor Toys gave the attraction a 8.05 score out of 10.

The research took a range of criteria into account, such as reviews, ticket prices, the number of animal species and search volumes of zoos across the UK.

Having over 260 species of animal within its 160 acres, the wildlife park also boasts a 4.5 star rating on TripAdvisor with over 4,300 reviews, proving popular with regular patrons and new visitors alike.

The attraction has proven to be particularly popular with families, with free parking and children's tickets priced at £13.50.

The park also saw a 1,608 per cent increase in internet searches.

Located near Burford in the Oxfordshire countryside, the park offers a mixture of exotic animal species set against the backdrop of the Gothic-style Manor House.

The park's highlights which include grazing rhinos and lively lemurs in the Madagascar exhibit.

Second and third positions on the list were awarded to Paignton Zoo in Devon, and Chester Zoo, respectively.
