Broadway's coaching inn, The Lygon Arms, will carry out a selection of expert-led experiences and tours for 2024, which will include tours to movie locations and William Shakespeare's birthplace.

The excursions highlight the Cotswolds history and culture, aimed at those wishing to discover more about the quintessential English region.

Among the new offerings is an in-person art experiences with artist Jeremy Houghton.

Known for his tonal watercolours and vibrant flamingo oil paintings, Mr Houghton has painted collections for some of the country's most high-profile people and places, including Windsor Castle, Highgrove, the Olympic Games and London Fashion Week.

The tour includes a visit to Broadway, his studio and gallery, and an in-depth look at the town’s significant cultural and historical legacy.

For film and television enthusiasts, half and full-day tours encompass iconic movie locations including those from Downton Abbey and Harry Potter.

Downton Hospital, Downton Church, and Highclere Castle are included in Downton Abbey tours, while Harry Potter fans can relive film moments at Gloucester Cathedral and Oxford's Lackock Abbey.

Literature lovers can explore the world of playwright William Shakespeare and visit his birthplace of Stratford-upon-Avon, visiting his school, family home, the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and his burial site in a church along the River Avon.

A visit to C.S Lewis’s former residence, The Kilns, where he penned some of his most renowned novels, including The Chronicle of Narnia, will also be available.

Alternatively, the Cotswolds Literature Tour takes visitors to the former residences of authors J.M. Barrie and A.A. Milne.

American history buffs have the opportunity to visit Sulgrave Manor, the ancestral abode of George Washington, or uncover Cotswolds' secret gems in the Off The Beaten Track tour which explores local landmarks, such as centuries-old farms and churches.
