A food trust has received a 'charity of the year' award for 2024 from a renowned Cotswold auctioneer.

Chorley's, situated in the heart of the Cotswolds, has selected The Country Food Trust for its annual accolade.

Chorley's has committed to integrating the trust's operations into its auctions and events for the year.

The auctioneer will actively promote and raise funds for the charity, demonstrating how valued the Trust’s work is to the Cotswold community.

The funds raised through Chorley's partnership will supply food to individuals and families in the Cotswold area who are faced with food insecurity.

Thomas Jenner-Fust, director at Chorley's, showed his enthusiasm at the partnership.

He said: "We are thrilled to announce The Country Food Trust as our Charity of the Year for 2024.

"Chorley's has always been deeply committed to the well-being of the Cotswold community, and we believe that supporting The Country Food Trust aligns perfectly with our values.

"We look forward to leveraging our platform to raise awareness and funds for this important cause."

The sentiment was echoed by SJ Hunt, CEO of The Country Food Trust.

She said: "We are delighted that Chorley's has chosen The Country Food Trust as its designated charity for 2024 and look forward to working with the team to further extend our work across the Cotswold region."
