Sainsbury’s Witney store is gearing up for refurbishment, following conversations with customers about how their needs could be better served.

The store will close for two weeks from 6pm on Saturday, November 11 and reopen at 9am on Friday, November 24 (Black Friday). The retailer has apologised in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.

Once completed, the store will feature a variety of new and extended ranges, with hundreds of new products available, a new Starbucks and a refreshed Sushi Gourmet counter serving hot and cold Japanese-inspired dishes. The new-look store will further benefit from an enhanced layout and new technology throughout.

During the closure period, a temporary Sainsbury’s Click & Collect facility will be available in the store’s car park from November 12 to 23. The retailer will also continue to deliver to customers’ doors in Witney via its Groceries Online service.

Sainsbury’s is also offering to cover the cost of delivery for one online order during the closure period. To claim this, one voucher per customer can be collected in-store from the Witney store from today (Friday, November 3) while stocks last.

Sainsbury’s regional stores director Keyur Patel said: “We appreciate this is a project that involves a significant amount of change in and around the store and I’d like to thank everyone in the community for their support and patience while this work takes place.”
