DOMESTIC abuse in Shipston and throughout Warwickshire will be addressed at monthly conferences from now on.
Police, health authorities, housing services, refugee groups and support services - such as Victim Support - have agreed to hold the Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARACs) to devise improved protection for people at high risk of domestic abuse.
MARACs will aim to reduce repeat offending and increase the safety of domestic abuse victims and their children, while improving the level of professional support they receive.
Warwickshire police's Detective Chief Inspector Debbie Tedds said: "Working together in this way will allow us to increase the number of victims we are able to help by providing a long-term, coordinated response and at the same time ensuring the victim and children receive the maximum range of support and protection available to them."
