A yob who sprayed Stella Artois at a barmaid during an anti-social spree has had four months wiped off his sentence.

Bradley Jones, 30, was given four years’ imprisonment last month, when a judge at Oxford Crown Court branded him a ‘one-man crimewave’.

His rap sheet on that occasion included spitting Stella Artois lager over a Chipping Norton barmaid, threatening his girlfriend at her home in Cirencester and stealing from shops across the north of the county.

The case was back in front of Judge Michael Gledhill KC on Friday (July 7), when it was clarified that the sentences imposed on three ‘summary’ offences of common assault, threatening behaviour and disqualified driving had been too high.

The net effect was that Jones’ sentence was reduced by four months from four years to 44 months’ imprisonment.

Jones, of Corrington Grove, Birmingham, was not present in court on Friday.
