Work is well on the way for the summer opening of a new boutique cinema.
Artists’ impressions show the entrance of the The Living Room Cinema Chipping Norton and one of the auditoriums.
Founder and CEO Claire Beswick said: “As we enter the final phase of our work - the interior fit out of the cinema - I’m delighted we are now able to share some of the finer details of our offer.
"It is a privilege to be creating such a unique cinema experience for the community of Chipping Norton and we cannot wait to open our doors and to welcome each and every one of you.”
Newly appointed general manager Lindsey Bowden previously worked for London's Roundhouse, Riverside Studios and Assembly.
She said: “I am hugely excited to be part of this wonderful new venue for Chipping Norton which will bring such a great variety of new releases, classics and screened live performances for the community.
"I'm looking forward to meeting locals in our lovely cafe bar and can't wait to open our doors."
The cinema with two screens will show a diverse programme from award-winning new releases, indies and family films to documentaries, foreign language and arthouse gems under the ‘Living Room Presents’ banner.
Summer blockbusters will include Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, Oppenheimer, the latest mind-bending thriller from Christopher Nolan, Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning plus Wes Anderson’s Asteroid City and the hotly anticipated Barbie, directed by Greta Gerwig and featuring Margot Robbie and Ryan Reynolds.
There will be subtitled, audio described, autism friendly and parent and baby screenings.
A Live Events series will offer music concerts from the legendary Andre Rieu to Coldplay, opera and ballet from the Royal Opera House and beyond, theatre from the National Theatre and the Exhibition on Screen series.
One of the highlights of the upcoming programme will be special events and an “In Conversation With” series.
Special guests at the cinema's sister Liphook site have included Downton Abbey stars Hugh Bonneville and Elizabeth McGovern.
The cinema will be open all day with a stylish foyer that will provide a versatile social space and the cafe/bar will offer morning coffee, lunch and afternoon tea before transforming into a stylish cocktail and wine bar in the evenings.
There will be a range of concession tickets available, in addition to both standard and premium seating.
There is a membership scheme for regular patrons and a range of membership options from Standard to limited-edition VIP Founder Memberships, with benefits including unlimited cinema for the member and a guest, complimentary drinks, a private screening, and an invite to the launch party.
