Wildlife expert Steve Backshall made a flying visit to the UK's only crocodile zoo to catch up with owner Shaun Foggett.

Crocodiles of the World in Brize Norton tweeted: "Great to have @backshall.steve at the zoo for a flying visit and catch up with Shaun - who couldn’t wait to show him our new Clouded Forest, home to our stunning Clouded Leopards.

"Thanks for stopping by Steve - hope to see you here again soon!"

The clouded leopard, also called the mainland clouded leopard, is a wild cat inhabiting dense forests from the foothills of the Himalayas through mainland Southeast Asia into South China.

Mr Backshall, who was Explorer of the Year 2020, has revealed he was bitten by a crocodile while filming a children's BBC series.

The naturalist, who is married to Olympic rower Helen Glover and lives near the Oxfordshire/Berkshire border, was wading through the mud looking for an anaconda - a giant snake - when he was attacked.
