A talking newspaper has been stopped early due to strikes.

The Cotswold Listener sends out talking newspapers and magazines to audiences in the north Cotswolds each week.

However, due to the postal strike, there has been “severe” delays, with the memory sticks being sent out and not returning in time.

Therefore, the Cotswold Listener has decided to finish its weekly recordings a week earlier than planned before Christmas.

With only a sufficient number of memory sticks for its next issue, the Cotswold Listener is planning to produce a bumper recording of the News, Magazine, TNF Soundings and MagXtra.

This will result in a three hour-plus recording, packed with articles and Christmas readings.

Listeners who have the necessary passwords can also access recent recordings via The Cotswold Listener’s website www.cotswoldlistener.co.uk/listeners.
