Postal workers have been striking once again in Chipping Norton.
CWU members have been making their voices heard at the delivery office on Station Road.
Town councillor and retired UNISON regional organiser, Steve Akers, joined the posties on Wednesday, December 14, and is back out once again today.
“Public support for striking workers is high,” he said.
“Everyone knows these are the workers who got this country through the pandemic.
“Enough is enough.
“I urge everyone to get behind our nurses, posties, rail and all striking workers and let's help them win these disputes.”

Councillor Akers was joined on Wednesday’s picket by CWU South Central Postal Branch Chair Paul Garraway.
The pair then travelled to Oxford to lend their solidarity to railworkers, where they joined RMT representative Suzanne Quainton as she dished out hot mince pies and leaflets to passers-by.

Today, Thursday December 15, councillor Akers joined the postal workers in Chipping Norton again.
On this occasion, he was joined by CWU Oxfordshire area representative, Keith Hamilton.
Donations of mince pies and chocolates from Chipping Norton residents kept spirits high in the cold as passing builders, taxis and delivery drivers beeped their horns in support.
Councillor Akers then headed off for Oxford to join striking nurses on the RCN picket lines at Warneford Hospital.
