A Cotswold pub is set to feature on a popular TV game show.

The Lazy Pug, in Shipston, will appear on the next episode of Channel 4’s Four in a Bed.

The show sees bed and breakfast owners take turns staying with each other as they compete to be crowned the best hosts.

On Monday, viewers will get to see Ash Maugham and Rosie Love represent the Church Street establishment.

Matt Crowther, director of Pug Pubs which owns the B&B, said: “We are very excited to see The Lazy Pug on Channel 4 this week!

“Not only to showcase all the hard work the team have put into our latest project at Pug Pubs, but also to showcase Shipston-on-Stour and our beautiful county of Warwickshire and the Cotswolds.

“Gav our general manager, both Martins, Ash, Rosie and the whole team gave it their all. Fingers crossed for a win!”

Mr Crowther added that the publicity the show will bring has come at a much-needed time for the industry.

“It’s another uncertain time for hospitality once again with increasing energy costs, inflation and rising interest rates!” he said.

“We need all the help we can get showcasing our amazing businesses and towns.

“I feel this has come at a great time in the year putting us firmly on the map during the run-up to Christmas!

The episode featuring The Lazy Pug airs at 5pm on Monday, October 10.
