IN THE top contest of the week, league leaders Evesham entertained newly promoted Moreton-in-Marsh who earned a surprise 2-2 draw.
John Clarke and Simon Wall lost out to visiting pair Will Hale and Gary Jackson 7-6, 6-2 before narrowly managing to overcome Jim Gosling and Owain Thomas 6-7, 6-0, 6-0.
Andrew Crowther and Chris Francis won their first rubber against Gosling & Owain 6-2, 6-2 only too narrowly miss out second time around to Hale and Jackson 6-7, 6-2, 6-1.
Reigning champions Stratford-on-Avon played their first match of the summer season and recorded emphatic straight sets 4-0 victory over Inkberrow B.
After a poor start last week, Stratford B made up on some lost ground when they defeated Littleton 3-1.

Early first division leaders Chipping Campden consolidated their start with an excellent 4-0 defeat of Tanworth-in-Arden.
Other results: Henley 4, Claverdon 0; FISSC 3, Whitnash 1. Late result: Ardencote 2, Whitnash 2.
Joint leaders of Division Two, Alcester and Stratford C, maintained their positions with hard fought 3-1 wins at Pershore and Littleton B respectively.
Studley moved up behind the leaders after they thrashed an ailing Aston Cantlow side 4-0, while Alcester B defeated HDA 3-1.
Action in Division Three saw Harbury enjoy the biggest win of the week after a 4-0 win at Chipping Campden B.
Shipston won 3-1 at Snitterfield, while Studley B dropped points to FISSC B after a 2-2 draw. Claverdon B, meanwhile, reversed their first week's result as they got the better of Ilmington 3-1.
