Firefighters have tackled a huge blaze at a country estate near Chipping Norton.
Oxfordshire County Council's Fire and Rescue Service were called to the fire at the Broadstone Estate at 1:41pm yesterday.
Eight fire appliances were brought to deal with the scene, from fire stations in Chipping Norton, Hook Norton, Witney, Charlbury, Burford, Bicester, Rewley Rd (Oxford), Banbury, and Kidlington.
Upon arrival, crews dealt with a field fire involving six hectres of barley, roughly the size of eight football pitches.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
Firefighters left the scene at 5:30pm.
