POLICE are no longer investigating the cause of a fire that broke out at a cottage in Moreton High Street in the early hours of last Wednesday morning.
Police spokeswoman Hannah Swingler said the blaze, which led to tenant Daphne Taylor, 39, and her nine-year-old daughter Courtney being taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation, is being treated as accidental.
"They still can't work out how it happened so the cause is still unexplained. It was definitely not electrical," said Ms Swingler.
