A 32-YEAR-OLD man from the Ditchford area of Moreton was woken at 3am yesterday (feb 20) by the sound of a car engine starting.
When he went to investigate he discovered his trailer had been unhitched from his Jeep Cherokee.
He decided to drive around the area to see if he could find his missing trailer and came across it, attached to a Land Rover, in Galloping Lane, Chipping Campden.
The Land Rover driver tried to escape by driving at the Jeep, causing a dent to its nearside bodywork.
However, the Land Rover driver realised he was trapped and eventually gave up, unhitched the trailer and returned it to its rightful owner before driving off.
A man in his forties from the Stratford area has since been arrested by Warwickshire police and is being held in custody in Leamington Spa.
