MORETON Town have been forced to resign from the Birdseye Sports Evesham Sunday Football League.
Last season's second division champions have struggled to turn out sides in the top flight despite a promising start and have slumped to a couple of embarrassing defeats including a 20-0 thrashing at the hands of the Red Horse.
Town's future wasn't helped when they were forced to switch from their previous base at Moreton Cricket Club to playing their games at Norgren Social Club in Shipston.
