The Thames Valley Police Museum will be open to the public during the summer holiday, so you can visit without making an appointment.

Normally the museum is appointment only, with a maximum group size of six.

During the summer the museum will be open on Wednesday mornings between 10.00am – 12.00pm, meaning you can visit without making an appointment.

Thames Valley Police Museum includes displays on the history of Thames Valley Police and the five police forces that merged to form it: Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxford City, Oxfordshire and Reading Borough.

The museum's collections include items from the Great Train Robbery of 1963, uniforms, equipment, medals, scenes of crime evidence, and serial killer Amelia Dyer.

The museum is based in the White House, at The Thames Valley Police Training Centre in Sulhamstead, near Reading, Berkshire, RG7 4DX.
