Several main roads in and around Stow will close over a period of five months.
Essential roadworks are planned for four roads running through the Cotswold town, with closures planned to come into effect sometime between August 2 to December 31 of this year.
The closures will allow for carriageway resurfacing to take place.
Roads closures
The roads affected are as follows:
- A429/Moreton Road, Stow on the Wold (from Broadwell to Stow Road to A429)
- A429/Fosseway, Stow on the Wold (from Moreton Road to B4068 Lower Swell Road)
- A424/Evesham Road, Stow on the Wold (from Moreton Road to Woodbine Cottage to Evesham Road)
- B4077/Tewkesbury Road, Stow on the Wold (from Evesham Road to Lower Swell to Upper Swell)
Precise dates for the closures have not yet been confirmed.
However, the Town Council website states that each road will close only from 7pm to 7am.
Additionally, advance warnings of the dates will be displayed on signs on the roads.
