As of 12:30pm on Friday, June 10, waiting times at the Worcester hospital are reported to be three hours and 51 minutes.

The Trust tweeted: "Our Emergency Departments in Worcester and Redditch are exceptionally busy.

"Please help us to treat the most seriously-ill patients as quickly as possible by choosing your health services wisely A&E is for serious or life-threatening injury or illness."

To help cut down the wait times, patients are advised to try www.111.nhs.uk first for urgent health advice.

Patients are also reminded that there are Minor Injuries Units across the county such as in Bromsgrove, Evesham, Kidderminster and Malvern.

"These offer urgent care for minor injuries with much shorter waits!" continues the Trust's tweet.

However, according to the Trust's website, the wait time at Malvern Community Hospital Minor Injuries Unit is currently over 64 hours, with 12 patients waiting.

*UPDATE*

A spokesperson of the Trust stated that the wait time in Malvern was seemingly a "system error".
