HEREFORD manager Josh Gowling says new forward Momodou Touray gave his side an injection of energy during their 4-0 win over Farsley Celtic.

The Salford loanee came on as a 68th minute substitute with the Bulls leading by a single goal providing a threat from the outset.

Touray had the last say scoring in the dying moments as the Bulls scored twice in injury time to seal a convincing win.

“He’s brilliant,” said Gowling.

“He came on and gave us an injection of energy, he moves well, links up play well and showed real composure for the goal.

While Gowling was pleased with the end scoreline he felt the Bulls were wasteful during a first half in which Farsley challenged his side.

“It’s pleasing but I thought we were wasteful at times in the final third I think,” added Gowling.

“I think we should have put the game to bed before half-time and I think we created enough chances to do that.

“I felt the elements got the better of us at the end the first half, which isn’t really the way we play so they were told at half-time.

“At 1-0 it’s one of those precarious score-lines where you can let teams back in especially teams at the bottom who are fighting for everything.

“They did stick it on us at the end of the first half but I think we dealt with that well. We did try and get on the ball and switch play.

“We’re starting to come good and hopefully we’ll hit form now until the end of the season.”
