MUSIC legends The Wurzels will take to the stage to perform their number one hit 'I've got a brand-new combine harvester' at a concert just over the Herefordshire border.

The band will play at the the Cinderford Cider Festival charity concert, in Causeway Ground, on Sunday, May 8.

The concert will kick off at noon and see the iconic Somerset band on stage from 2.30pm.

The Wurzels have built up a huge cult following in the UK for nearly 50 years and spent many years in the charts and appearances on Top of the Pops.

They will play their vast array of hits including Drink up thy Zider, Blackbird Song, and I am a Cider Drinker, which reached number three in the charts.

Other hits will include Morning Glory, One for the Bristol City and their 1976 number one smash hit Combine Harvester, which sold 500,000 copies in the UK alone.

The band, started by the late great Adge Cutler in the sixties, will feature long time members

Pete Budd and Tommy Banner alongside Sedge Moor.

But long-time drummer John Morgan will be missing, after his death just before Christmas.

There will also be both pre- and post-concert entertainment, a selection of trade stalls,

outside bars and Dean Radio will also be present to make it a memorable day.
