MORE noisy overnight work will be taking place at the Ocean in Stonehouse, according to a letter sent to residents.

Network Rail will be carrying out follow-up work to ensure that the reinstated track remains resilient.

A specialist tamping train will be working through the area, meaning that it will be noisy at times and must be done overnight whilst trains aren’t running.

Network Rail will also be carrying out work to tie-in the existing towpath with the new structure.

This work will take place between Monday, January 24 to Thursday, January 27 between 11.30 pm and 6 am.

Network Rail claim they will work hard to keep any unnecessary disruption to a minimum.

They also say that the dates and times are also subject to change.

They thank the public for their patience and understanding.
